SuDS driveway planning in London: when you need permission
You usually do not need planning permission to replace a driveway in London if rainwater stays on the plot. A resin bound surface over a SuDS base is the usual route. An impermeable slab with ACO channels and a soakaway can also qualify.
Conservation areas, listed buildings and a new dropped kerb are separate. We flag those on survey.
Resin bound means the stone is mixed through the resin so water can pass. Bonded systems glue stone onto a sealed layer — they are not SuDS-permeable in the same way.
